If you have tried finding a tee time at a highly ranked course, you know how
difficult it can be. At private golf resort communities—like Tetherow Golf
Club—it can be near to impossible. However, a small window of opportunity is
open this summer for those who aren’t members or guests at Tetherow.
Celebrated architect David McLay Kidd, who designed Bandon Dunes in
Oregon and The Castle Course at St. Andrews, has created a gem here. The
links-style course fits beautifully into the natural terrain, its holes framed
by ragged bunkers, knobs and knolls, with the Cascade peaks providing a suitably
