Spring Renewal

The best places to play golf in Florida during baseball’s spring training

After four barren months, baseball returns this week with the first games of the preseason. And all the players on the 15 major league baseball teams competing in Florida’s Grapefruit League are filled with hope and optimism for the upcoming season.

For fans, going to Florida to watch their favorite teams in the informal atmosphere of spring training is an important rite of passage. And they can make the most of their trips by combining the diamond’s freshly mown turf and well-groomed infield with the tees, fairways and greens of a nearby golf course.

Click the link to begin a tour of the best places to play golf near the spring training homes of the 15 major league teams that are getting ready for the upcoming baseball season in the Sunshine State.

Who knows? There is always a chance that you’ll see your favorite player with a golf club in his hands instead of a bat or glove.
