Cobra has a long history of producing long, easy-to-hit drivers, but the sound was a bit too loud and low on some models. Problem solved. Using sophisticated computer modeling, engineers had “zero limits” when it came to their mindset in designing the ZL. The result is Cobra’s longest and best-sounding driver ever.
The ZL produces a quieter, higher-pitched strike, while the high ball flight really carries. The multi-material construction combines a lightweight, high-strength carbon-fiber crown with a titanium body and face that pushes the center of gravity low, back and slightly toward the heel, aided by a swing-weight screw . A rhombus, or diamond-shape, face insert promotes faster ball speeds, especially on off-center hits, while the adjustable hosel allows for three face angles: neutral, 1.5-degrees open and 1.5-degrees closed.
